project description
This project is a new building addition to the Whatcom Museum campus. It is LEED Silver Level and includes a 'green' roof, a rainwater harvesting system, pervious paving, double-skin curtain wall glazing at the 6,480 sq. ft. exterior light catcher wall, and a state-of-the-art natural ventilation system.

WJC provided Commissioning Authority and Test Engineer services. WJC provided design review, submittal review, commissioning installation audits, startup oversight, development of Basis of Design documents, functional performance testing, O&M documentation review, owner training oversight, and general commissioning oversight for this projecct.
systems tested
WJC developed and performed tests on the following building systems: heating hot water, radiant floor, chilled water, air handlers, restroom exhaust fans, basement exhaust fans, Cafe and Gift Shop heat pumps and exhaust fans, natural ventilation system, fan coil units, terminal units and humidifiers, unit heaters, and split system air conditioning units.
