Project Description
This project was a tenant improvement to the 1st floor and basement (P1) of the Silver building at EHMC. The scope included new mechanical, electrical and plumbing work in Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Shared Services & Conference Rooms, as well as Infusion Oncology. A new employee locker room was built-out in the basement, adjacent to a large shell space.
Services provided
Wilson Jones Commissioning, LLC (WJC) provided commissioning authority services for the project Owner. During construction, WJC gathered and reviewed blank startup forms for each piece of equipment to ensure complete and thorough equipment startup. WJC provided a Commissioning Schedule to keep the project team involved and informed of progress. We held weekly Cx Meetings to discuss and resolve issues, and distributed to the team Meeting Minutes along with the Cx Issues Log and any Activity Reports resulting from commissioning activities and observations. We provided Systems Manuals complete with schematic one-line drawings to clearly illustrate each system. We developed Functional Performance Tests (FPTs) specific for each system to ensure that all of the safeties and general functions were tested and the results well documented. We were also highly involved in testing and ensuring the room pressurization in critical spaces was properly maintained. WJC helped coordinate and attended training sessions and are confident that personnel employed by the Owner are capable of maintaining and making adjustments to the system as needed.
Systems tested
Fin Tube Radiators, Supply and Exhaust Fan Units, A/C Units and Alarms, VAVs, Lighting Controls, Photocells, TAB Backcheck, Room Pressurization, Pharmacy Pressure Recheck, ACH Verification, Kitchen Hoods.
