project description
The Federal Way School District Support Services Center is a facility which was constructed to replace an existing, nearby facility. The building houses administrative and transportation staff, as well as shop and vehicle maintenance mechanics. The building also offers a large, open gathering area for district meetings, as well as multiple training rooms. This building is attempting to achieve LEED Gold certification.
services provided
Wilson Jones Commissioning, LLC was a consultant to the Federal Way School District and provided comprehensive Commissioning services for all mechanical and electrical systems. Many of the building systems are Owner-provided, as they are unique to the requirements of the vehicle maintenance staff; WJCx actively assisted in trade coordination to ensure systems operate correctly and efficiently. WJCx was also highly active in oversight of Owner training to ensure that O&M staff is well-educated in the functions of all building systems.
