Wood Harbinger- Mechanical
The International Community School and Community Elementary School replaced the existing ICS and CES buildings, combining both schools into a single building. The ICS houses 7th through 12th grade students, while CES hosts 3 multi-age classes of 1st through 6th grade students. The basis of both establishments involves high involvement in the community and family members in the education of the students; the building is designed with many open areas to accommodate this type of learning.
WJCx was retained as a consultant to the Lake Washington School District and provided comprehensive Commissioning services for all mechanical and electrical systems. This project received funding under the Puget Sound Energy New Construction Commissioning Grant. WJCx was responsible for verifying specific aspects of the building construction and operation which aim to increase building efficiency. WJCx also oversaw Owner Training to ensure that O&M staff was well-equipped to manage the building systems.
