project description

This project was a substantial renovation of the existing Rainier View Elementary School.  The renovation involved structural repairs, new windows and exterior doors, seismic upgrades, fire sprinkler installation, and significant improvements of the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.  

services provided

We were contracted by the Seattle School District to provide Commissioning services.  We provided mechanical systems startup oversight and commissioning oversight for this project.  In addition, we provided post occupancy follow up services until we were assured all systems are performing.

Domestic Hot Water, Piping Distribution System, Gas-fired Boiler System including new pumps, expansion tank, air separator and piping, Ductwork Distribution Systems, Air Handling Unit Equipment and Systems, Duct Coils and Dampers, Exhaust Fan Equipment and Systems, Supply Fan Equipment and Systems, Unit Ventilators, Building Automation System, Interfaces to Fire Alarm Systems, Occupancy Sensors, and Building Electrical Blackout and Recovery Test.
